Melo presented at Ulster University’s ‘Digital mental health and wellbeing’ 2024 conference
Melo recently presented work at the ‘Digital mental health and wellbeing’ conference, hosted by Ulster University in Derry, Ireland. Alongside James Chapman, one of the co-founders of Decently, were colleagues from Salford Royal’s neuropsychology team, including Dr Alistair Teager.
We were given the opportunity to deliver our recent work, in the form of two presentations, one on our Melo AI chatbot, and one on the acceptability and feasibility of using digital health technologies to understand ‘challenging to manage’ behaviours.
It was a perfect opportunity to showcase the important work that Decently have been doing, and an even better opportunity to do so in a way that engaged our audience, building new networks. James had this to say about his experience:
The three day conference was packed with topics from around the digital mental health space, including a strong focus on the co-design of mental health services, with input from stakeholders and patients.
Decently recently hosted a similar session, gathering insights from brain injured patients and their families. To find out more about this, please click here.
By presenting in the ‘Usability evaluation of digital interventions’ section on day 2 of the conference, we were able to showcase Melo and present our acceptability and feasibility findings to an audience sharing similar interests and ambitions for digital health technology, and the potential benefits it can add to current practice.
